Google has officially released Nano Banana 2.1, its latest image generation and editing model, now available in AI Studio. The company says it outperforms previous models across the board, with notable leaps in visual design, mask-based editing, and subject consistency for more natural-looking images. Developer advocate Paige Bailey demoed it with "successful pug smiles."
