Tested: running Claude Code through grokbot is a fast track to account bans
aigclink · x · 2026-10-06
When asked whether grokbot works with Claude Code, the author advises against it based on firsthand testing:
- Using a Google signup flow to probe grokbot, the process stalled at SMS device verification — itself a risk signal that some behaviors are flagged as unclean or automated.
- For Claude accounts, both tainted accounts and automation are easy ban triggers.
- grokbot runs on datacenter IPs plus small VMs, effectively equivalent to a datacenter-IP tun mode — datacenter IPs alone are a major risk factor.
