Mistral officially unveils Large 4: Europe-trained 1T-param model, API live, open weights end of October

Mistral officially announced Mistral Large 4 ("Le Chonk"): a natively multimodal model with 1T parameters and 49B active, claimed SOTA on cyber defense, manufacturing and finance workloads. It was trained end-to-end in Europe and is deployable via Mistral's own European cloud. API available today; open weights by end of October, pending red-teaming with cybersecurity partners.
