Korea's government reported a "Welfare & Care AI Transformation Roadmap" at a cabinet meeting to address care worker shortages from rapid aging. Three pillars: 24/7 AI-assisted home care that detects anomalies from lifestyle and health data, plus smart diapers, fall sensors and care robots in facilities; from 2027, citizens describe their situation in plain language and AI recommends benefits, later one-click applications; and automating 50%+ of routine welfare admin tasks so staff can focus on people. The National AI Strategy Committee pledged technical support.
