Developer Natzke used OpenAI Codex with the ModRetro plugin to handle Game Boy link-cable communication and build a top-down two-player paintball game with a larger wrapping field and a minimap — opponents stay hidden until they fire. He notes multiplayer testing is hard, but Codex iterated through it smoothly. OpenAI's pvncher amplified the demo.
