Claude Opus generates 500 canvas visualizations with zero libraries, no WebGL
mhmazur · x · 2026-10-06
mhmazur asked Claude Opus 5.5 to generate 500 visualizations using nothing but the HTML <canvas> element, and Claude Code built every one in vanilla JavaScript — no Three.js, WebGL, or any library.
Highlights include archival bubble-chamber footage of particle collisions, a physically modeled throat singing vowels, a garden spider spinning its orb web, and a dial-up modem handshake. Each piece ships with a copy-paste prompt for Claude Code or Codex so readers can reproduce and extend it, plus a favoriting feature. Claude estimates about half the gallery consists of classic demos or well-known algorithms, but the scale and pure-canvas execution are still remarkable.
