CharacterMemory: an Open-Source Neuroscience-Inspired Memory System for AI Characters
iTzSilver_YT · reddit · 2026-10-06
CharacterMemory is a new open-source memory system for AI characters, inspired by neuroscience. It retrieves memories the way humans do—weighing emotions, recency, and connections—and tracks world state, emotions, routines, calendars, places, and character 'heartbeats'. It ships with a WebUI and is easy to integrate into existing code. Repo: github.com/FrancescoCaracciolo/CharacterMemory.
