AnimeGen ships: run the Anima model locally and offline on iPhone/iPad
Agitated-Pea3251 · reddit · 2026-10-06
An iOS developer released AnimeGen, an App Store app that runs the Anima anime image model fully locally on iPhone/iPad via the Apple Neural Engine. It adds HD generation and multiple aspect ratios, producing images in 10–20 seconds depending on device (iPhone 17: 10–15s). First launch compiles the model on-device in 1–2 minutes, after which it works fully offline. Requires iPhone 12/M1 iPad or newer, iOS 18+, and 10 GB of free space; custom LoRAs, ControlNet, and upscaling are planned.
