YouTuber Frankie LaPenna fought three humanoid robots from startup REK in a cage match last month, taking a brutal kick to the face and a series of punches that floored him. California's State Athletic Commission sent a cease-and-desist letter on September 30 demanding REK stop hosting, promoting or sponsoring such unsanctioned fights. REK CEO Cix Liv proudly shared the letter on X, writing "we made it boys."
