Meta open-sources Muse Gadgets, turning cheap electronics into Muse-compatible devices
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-06
Meta released Muse Gadgets, an open-source program (Apache 2.0 on GitHub) that lets anyone turn cheap off-the-shelf electronics into physical devices compatible with Muse. It ships as two kits: ESP32 firmware for small microcontroller boards and a Linux SDK for Raspberry Pi or any Linux computer. Meta also built its own gadget, Muse Home Link—a plug-in device connecting Muse to home Wi-Fi to reach existing devices or anything with a local HTTP API, like TVs, lights, and printers. An initial batch of 5,000 units is free for US Muse subscribers, limit one per subscriber.
