Tencent released Octop, an open-source, fully self-hosted AI assistant using a multi-agent architecture to build independent yet collaborative AI environments for teams, families, and individuals — running entirely on your machine.
Surfaces include a web dashboard (chat, experts/teams, connectors, cron, knowledge, plugins), native desktop clients for Windows/macOS/Linux plus NAS packages, a CLI, full HTTP/SSE/WebSocket APIs, and remote desktop control of the host session. Deploys via desktop app or Docker with single-process startup.
