AFTERMIND: an 8-min AI-made film about the machine we're building to think for us

An indie creator released AFTERMIND, an 8.5-minute film in five chapters about the machine humanity is building to think for it: what happens on Earth and inside El Capitan (1.8 quintillion calc/s) in one second, a countdown of humanity's inventions, the 20-watt brain vs a 30-megawatt supercomputer, the machine speaking ("Everything I know, I learned from you"), and how control gets handed over one convenience at a time.
The script, edit, motion graphics and compositing were done entirely by AI (Claude in Claude Code); voices, score and sound design by ElevenLabs. All footage is real (NASA, Lawrence Livermore, USGS, etc.) — no AI-generated video. The director's central question: if the machine learns everything from us, which version of us should it copy?
