Open-source motion design agent skill turns one sentence into a fully coded MP4 video
Puzzled-Ad-6854 · reddit · 2026-10-06
A developer open-sourced a motion-design agent skill (/remotion-video) that generates short videos entirely in code — promos, launch clips, explainers, social posts — with no video editing skills required, compatible with Claude and GPT agents.
- Workflow: give a folder/link/one sentence → the agent pitches an idea → shows storyboard frames for approval → animates everything, synthesizes sound effects in code, renders the MP4
- Iterated from rough first versions that copied his site's UI with a cringe AI narrator; the skill now tells a story, keeps on-screen text short, uses SFX instead of voice, and self-checks frames before showing
- Requires Node.js plus Python for sound; demo produced with Claude Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.1 sessions
