Brain Likely Runs 10^15-10^16 Ops/Sec, So Consciousness Can't Be More Complex, Argues User

VictorLevoso · x · 2026-10-06

VictorLevoso restates his argument: the brain does at most 10^21 ops/s (likely 10^15-10^16), and since people are conscious all the time, consciousness can't require orders of magnitude more complexity than the active computation actually used on normal timescales. JoshPurtell replies he doesn't follow the argument at all.
