huashu-art-motion: A Claude Code Skill That Produced a 23-Style Animation in Under a Day

AlchainHust · x · 2026-10-06

The author released huashu-art-motion, an animation skill: a single prompt like "make a 15s animation in Van Gogh's Starry Night style" generates code-drawn animation; it can also deconstruct and replicate reference clips, or build whiteboard explainer animations synced to narration. The demo is a 2:08 one-shot traveling through 23 art styles from Lascaux cave paintings back to a 2026 desk.

All scenes are drawn in code and the music is synthesized note-by-note (zero samples); only the author's avatar used codex ImageGen, with everything else built by Opus 5.5 in Claude Code — from reference video to final cut in under a day. The author argues whiteboard animation fits long-form explainers on Bilibili/YouTube, drawing characters and events as the narration progresses.

The post also traces the viral "Fable 5.5" animations: the original art-history clip is by Tak (@cherrymxreds), the Chinese-viral version was a repost, and Anthropic never officially shipped any Fable 5.5.
