softminus argues that the China hawkishness in the rationalist/AI community is not nationalism: the telos of the rationalism project is singularity/posthumanism, which has little room for parochial concepts like nations or peoples. If it were genuine nationalism, you'd expect lots of right-wing nationalist content alongside it — but you don't.
