YuE2 music model runs fully in-browser: 40s song in ~60s on a MacBook via WebGPU
realmrfakename · x · 2026-10-06
Developer realmrfakename demonstrated the YuE2 music generation model running entirely in a web browser: via WebGPU, it generated a 40-second song in just over 60 seconds on a MacBook. While far slower than running on a dedicated GPU, it shows open-source music models can now do full inference in the browser with no local setup.
