Nowcasting messy economic data via regression on path signatures
lihua_lei_stat · x · 2026-10-06
A new version of the paper "Nowcasting using regression on signatures" treats messy, mixed-frequency, gappy economic data as a continuous path, computes its signature, and regresses directly on it. The authors explain why this heavy mathematical machinery is warranted for real-world economic nowcasting.
