Black Forest Labs open-sources 7B FLUX 3 Action, tops RoboLab-120 at 3.95x speed

Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Action, an open-weight 7B world-action model for robot control built on its multimodal FLUX 3 backbone.
- Results: Sets a new SOTA success rate on the RoboLab-120 leaderboard with less than half the parameters of the previous best open model, running up to 3.95x faster.
- Training recipe: Pretrained on large-scale video, image and audio data (video-heavy), arguing cross-modal training generalizes better than action demonstrations alone; adapted via joint video-action training plus embodiment-specific finetuning.
- Openness: Weights, code and a full research report covering pretraining, midtraining, finetuning and inference are published — "in robotics, the finetuning recipe is just as important as the weights."
