PinkWallet ships an MCP server that gates agent payments against business rules before money moves
No_Brief_5075 · reddit · 2026-10-06
PinkWallet released a remote MCP server that sits between an AI agent and company money: payment requests are checked against business-defined rules and answered allowed, pendinghuman, or blocked before any transfer. Limits live server-side, so the model can't prompt its way past them.
- Seven tools including getbudget, checkpolicy, requestpayment and reportreceipt
- Sandbox demo (coffee shop template, test money): $420 to a regular supplier → allowed; $890 → human approval; $60 to a gift-card site → blocked
- Gotcha: a night rule (11pm–6am, UTC clock) can trigger pendinghuman during Pacific-afternoon tests — the rule working, not a bug
- Setup: claude mcp add --transport http pink <url> with a Bearer key, or connect via OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration; listed in the official MCP Registry
- Honest limits: sandbox and test credentials only; real payments are early access
The author asks for design feedback: is a separate dry-run checkpolicy tool worth it, and does returning the matched rule's name help the agent recover or leak policy details?
