Google quietly ships Nano Banana 2.1 image model, drawing criticism it's no upgrade

Google has released Nano Banana 2.1, a new image generation model. Blogger Angaisb voiced disappointment, saying he couldn't care less about another non-Pro image model, implying the update lacks substance and that expectations are pinned on a Pro-tier version instead.
