Reflection AI launches Beam: a 501B-param open model with 23B active, weights coming this month
bigblueboo · x · 2026-10-06
Reflection AI has introduced Beam, its first model — a highly efficient agentic open model with 501B total parameters and 23B active. The company claims frontier reasoning efficiency, advancing the Western open-source frontier on coding and agentic tasks, trained end-to-end from scratch. Full weights will be released this month. Third-party observers peg it at roughly GLM-5.2 level, potentially the best American open-source model yet.
