Microsoft and Meta move to cut employee Claude usage over exploding API bills

Microsoft and Meta, two major Anthropic customers, are working to reduce employee usage of Claude models due to exploding costs, pushing their own tools instead. Microsoft, which doesn't pay for OpenAI models, is routing most queries there — a sign of cost pressure pushing big customers away from paid APIs.
