According to @hqmank, Anthropic is removing Cowork's local execution option for Pro/Max users tomorrow. New tasks will run in the cloud, while existing local tasks stay on users' machines.
Anthropic says sessions and files "live with your Claude account and go where you go." The poster questions where the data lives and who can access it.
