In the FSD thread, binarybits argues it's misleading to compare Tesla's vast ADAS service area to Waymo's small robotaxi footprint: Waymo has no FSD-style ADAS product, but FSD still requires a driver behind the wheel. Others concede neither has achieved unsupervised driving at scale — the nationwide unsupervised FSD Tesla fans promised was "close" in 2024 still isn't here.
