Computer use is AI agents' next battleground as GUIs remain the only universal API

@YuchenjUW argues computer use will be the next major battleground for AI agents: the digital world should ideally be API-first, but it isn't — lots of software (Amazon shopping, tax filing, legacy enterprise tools) has no useful API, and existing APIs are often slow, incomplete and rate-limited (Slack being a prime example). GUIs, by contrast, are the one universal API. kimmonismus agrees and calls Astra the current 'goat' in computer use, deeming it super useful.
