Open-source Qiaomu Clipper turns subtitle-less videos and podcasts into timestamped transcripts in 20s
vista8 · x · 2026-10-06
Qiaomu Clipper, an open-source browser extension that clips web pages into Obsidian with AI Q&A, has added a transcription feature. Subtitle-less YouTube and Bilibili videos, Xiaoyuzhou podcast links, and local recordings can all be turned into timestamped transcripts with one click.
- Works with free local ASR models or cloud ASR (Doubao, SiliconFlow) — a 40-minute video transcribes in 20 seconds
- Full learning loop: click timestamps to replay, search, translate, ask AI, take notes
- Bundles ten curated podcasts for instant learning
Currently a Chrome dev build (v1.11.1 preview available); install from source or let your coding agent do it. The Bilibili subtitle toolbar shipped in 1.11.0.
