Liquid AI's d1 decision model adds vision, beats GPT-6.1 on 4 of 6 tasks at up to 200x lower cost
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-10-06
Liquid AI announced d1 with vision, its first decision model that accepts images, text, or both as input.
- Tested on six real applications (support ticket filtering, circuit board inspection, etc.), d1 matches or beats GPT-6.1 Sol on four
- Costs 19x to 200x less than GPT-6.1 Sol and Claude Opus 5.5, and answers significantly faster on every task
- Outputs probabilities for yes/no, choice, or score questions in a single forward pass without generating tokens; text decisions in 200-300 ms
- Available via the Liquid API
