voice-glow: open-source voice-reactive glow component with built-in emotion recognition
jakubzeg · x · 2026-10-06
Voice Effect is now available for SwiftUI with built-in emotion recognition, using local emotion2vec for tone plus a SamLowe word emotion model — the UI color theme reacts to the emotion in your speech. The companion voice-glow npm package overlays a sound-reactive glow along a React chat input's bottom edge: a colorful beam that rises and blooms with your voice, gathering into a traveling beam while a reply is being thought through. It ships with geometry presets (chat input, recording pill, phone screen), 8 color variants, microphone stream or custom level input, and full audio-chain controls (gain, gate, envelope, attack/release).
