Salesforce Futures VP's framework: agents take work where data exists and results are verifiable
kimmonismus · x · 2026-10-06
At Dreamforce, the author interviewed Mick Costigan, VP of Salesforce Futures, on which parts of work AI agents can actually take on. His framework starts with two questions: how much training data is available, and can you verify the result? They discuss implications for entry-level jobs, education, personal AI assistants, and Slack as a human-agent collaboration space. Key point: an agent sounding convincing doesn't mean it did the job right — verifiability is what matters.
