Musk calls humanity a "biological bootloader"; AI safety researcher pushes back

Elon Musk posted that "propagating super intelligence to the stars is a great success condition for a biological bootloader," extending his famous metaphor that humans are bootloaders for AI — implying superintelligence's spread matters more than human continuity.
AI safety researcher David Krueger amplified the criticism: he preferred the Jekyll version of Musk over this "overtly anti-human Hydeian alternative," and hopes the transformation isn't final. The original poster likewise expressed dismay at the openly anti-human framing.
