Cursor SDK Adds run.steer() to Inject Instructions Into Running Agents
mattyp · x · 2026-10-06
Cursor officially announced that its SDK now supports steering agents mid-run: calling run.steer() adds your message to the next turn. If a subagent is mid-task, it moves to the background and keeps working rather than being interrupted. Users joked you can now "drive it like it's stolen" — steering hard at any moment.
