Cloudflare launches Web Search API via AI Gateway with Exa, Ceramic.ai and Linkup

Cloudflare announced a Web Search API through AI Gateway, partnering with Ceramic.ai, Exa, and Linkup to give agents grounded, live web access with unified billing and observability.
The blog highlights a common agent pain point: agents typically guess a URL and curl it, often hitting 404s. With the Web Search API, agents can start from a search-engine query like humans do, injecting fresh, structured snippets into context and mitigating knowledge-cutoff limits. The search providers were already callable via AI Gateway; this adds integrated search on top.
