Anthropic-Accenture 'embedded evaluation' sparks conflict-of-interest concerns
DavidLinthicum · x · 2026-10-05
David Linthicum argues Anthropic's partnership with Accenture on "embedded evaluation" of frontier AI is less independent oversight than a commercial channel: consulting firms team up with AI providers to sell more consulting and more platforms. When the evaluator is commercially tied to the AI ecosystem and the provider benefits from its credibility, the line between governance and go-to-market blurs fast. The work isn't automatically invalid, but enterprise buyers should scrutinize the incentive structure instead of assuming objectivity.
