Harness launches open-source desktop app to run Claude Code, Codex and 12 more agents side by side
dee_hw · x · 2026-10-05
Autonomous released Harness, an open-source desktop app that turns your machines into a unified command center for coding agents:
- Every machine, side by side: manage Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and 12+ agents across your MacBook, home server, office desktop and GPU box in one window.
- No clashes: each agent runs on its own git worktree branch.
- Keyboard-first: ⌘N to start, ⌘P to find any agent, ⇧⌘L to switch layouts with auto-tiling panes.
- Keep working without you: close the app and agents continue; Harness pulls you back when something needs attention.
- Beyond code: extend into CAD, circuits, robots, games and music.
Free for Mac and Linux, installable via a single curl command, with a built-in Harness Store for onboarding agents.
