Google Scholar lists fake cannabis paper co-authored by Hinton, LeCun, Bengio, Altman and 11 other AI icons

The absurd Google Scholar find is confirmed: a paper titled "From Seed to Startup: How AI Is Revolutionizing Cannabis Cultivation and Empowering Small Businesses" lists 15 AI luminaries as authors—Geoffrey Hinton, Yann LeCun, Yoshua Bengio, Andrew Ng, Fei-Fei Li, Demis Hassabis, Sam Altman, Ilya Sutskever, Dario Amodei, Jensen Huang, Ian Goodfellow, Sebastian Thrun, Ray Kurzweil, Elon Musk, and "Thai James," dated 2026/5/10.
The abstract reads deadpan-serious: machine learning, computer vision, predictive analytics, IoT sensors and automated climate control optimizing lighting, irrigation, nutrients and pest detection, plus AI-powered customer analytics and compliance for cannabis startups. Clearly a hoax or spam entry, yet polished enough to slip through Google Scholar's indexing.
