Reflection, DeepMind-founded and Nvidia-backed, preps first open-weight model

Per Axios, Reflection — Nvidia-backed and founded by two ex-Google DeepMind researchers — is preparing to release its first open-weight model. It has a $1B+ compute deal with Nebius and a reported $150M/month SpaceX compute contract through 2029. The company promises to publish weights, research, and customization software including RL tools and environments, aiming to let developers run and control their own AI.
