California man charged with smuggling $300M in export-controlled GPU servers to China

Federal prosecutors have charged Greg Lui, owner of Earthmade Computer in City of Industry, California, with smuggling over $300 million worth of export-controlled GPU servers into China.
The case highlights one of the gray channels China still relies on for high-end compute, even as it builds out its domestic chip industry.
