Redditor suspects Claude usage drains faster during US peak hours despite Anthropic's May change

A Reddit user reports that Claude's remaining usage seems to deplete faster during US peak hours, while the same limit lasts noticeably longer at quieter times.
They admit the observation isn't controlled — longer chats, different models, or effort settings could explain it — but note that Anthropic said in May it removed peak-hour limit reductions for Claude Code on Pro and Max plans, raising suspicion of undisclosed time-of-day throttling.
The poster is asking others to compare similar workloads at different times of day, and share which plan, model, and Claude product they used, to verify whether the pattern is real.
