Scammers faked a WhatsApp message from Intesa Sanpaolo's CEO, then followed up with phone calls using an AI voice clone of a senior lawyer, convincing employees to transfer roughly $108 million (about €95 million), reportedly to China. About €36 million remains missing, making this one of the largest known AI voice-cloning frauds to date.
