A developer says the ChatGPT desktop app bumped itself to the top of macOS Spotlight results for the query "code" (likely due to Codex), breaking his years-old muscle memory of launching VS Code. After misclicking into ChatGPT for the 15th time, he deleted the app and stuck with Claude. He notes model leadership alternates between OpenAI and Anthropic weekly anyway, so small UX details like this ended up deciding which assistant he uses.
