maier_ak · x · 2026-10-05
Medical AI challenge results: PENGWIN took first place in automatic peripelvic fracture segmentation and fourth in the interactive task; VLM3D's Team Beyond Normals won three tasks and placed second in a fourth — both with Siemens Healthineers, VLM3D also with d.hip. The author also highlights super-resolution OCT enabling cellular-level retinal imaging over wide fields without costly adaptive optics, changing who can take such images at all.
