Power user review: ChatGPT Dots hit abuse-prevention limits even on the $200 plan
invertednz · reddit · 2026-10-05
A Reddit user on OpenAI's $200/month plan shared a hands-on review of Dots: while trying to run the agent autonomously away from his laptop, he hit an official "you are in the very top users and have hit our abuse prevention limit" notice.
- It works but is very slow, and there's no way to ask it to go faster or think longer on a task.
- Users can't shift work to credits, API, or plan capacity — "you're just stuck with what comes out."
- His verdict: despite 30% usage and credits remaining, Dots isn't ready for serious use and underperforms other options.
