Quantized model randomly injects a Lee Kuan Yew biography mid-reasoning
Studio271 · reddit · 2026-10-05
A user running strata-swift-iq3xxs (a Qwen3 quantized variant) on a 5070ti with the Strata project—which gave them 23x performance—caught a bizarre glitch: while executing a subtask to find and remove redundant code, the model's chain of thought abruptly inserted a full biography of Lee Kuan Yew (born 1923, Cambridge education, Singapore PM 1959–1990), then calmly continued running node probeeol.js to check line endings and write patch specs as if nothing happened.
Aside from the interjection, the reasoning and task execution were entirely coherent. The author半 asks whether "LLM Psychopathology" is about to become someone's research specialization.
