ChatGPT spots a fake Allegro phishing site when a Reddit user asked about pigeon loft shipping

A bird rescue operator in Poland asked ChatGPT whether 389 PLN was a fair shipping price for a second-hand pigeon loft. Instead, ChatGPT flagged that the seller's "Allegro Lokalnie" link was fake — the domain ended in .icu, hidden by mobile browser truncation. The phishing site even mimicked Allegro Smart free shipping. When she told the seller she'd pay cash on pickup, the fake site was soon blocked and the OLX account suspended, saving her $325.
