RelayDesk connects Claude to your own computers and VMs via MCP
whateverxp · reddit · 2026-10-05
A developer launched RelayDesk, which connects Claude via MCP to a computer, server, or VM you control.
Example use case: ask Claude to inspect a deployment log on your VM, find the first relevant error, and return surrounding command output—no copy-pasting terminal text into chat. Claude works via MCP; ChatGPT is supported only in Work Mode, not regular chats.
The author is soliciting design feedback from MCP tool builders: should read-only machine access be the default, with explicit approval for state-changing actions like file edits or service restarts?
