Polymarket prices US AI safety bill at just 5% by end of 2026
Polymarket · x · 2026-10-05
Following Sam Altman's "accept some bad things" remarks, Polymarket's US AI safety bill market prices only 5% odds of enactment by end of 2026 (16% by mid-2027). Qualifying legislation must impose release bans/reviews, training limits, usage restrictions, or human oversight requirements on AI developers or deployers — voluntary review doesn't count. The pricing reflects low expectations for federal AI safety legislation anytime soon.
