Opus 5.5 leads on writing, but newer models keep regressing on style, researcher says

Researcher Dimitris Papail reports that Opus 5.5 is currently the best model for writing and communication, while Astra and the new sol are oddly poor at writing, style, and personality — to the point that long autonomous research loops become hard to follow.
He notes that whatever made the earlier 5.6 sol excellent should have been repeatable but somehow wasn't, and muses on why writing, communication style, and personality remain so hard for labs to get consistently right.
