Designing a programming language for AI agents, not humans
mark_k · x · 2026-10-05
markk poses an interesting question: what would a programming language designed specifically for AI agents look like? All languages so far were designed for human coders.
Quoting rauchg's post on Vercel's Rust-ification (e.g. Turborepo migrated from Go to Rust): the migration ROI was controversial because humans wrote the code, even though Rust was technically better for low-level OS access. The calculus changes when agents—not humans—are writing the code.
