A developer released Call Coach 1.1, a free MIT-licensed open-source app that coaches you in real time during calls.
Key updates
- Expands from sales/customer service to 9 coaches: job interviews, social cues, anxiety support, and dating practice
- Build your own coach by writing a description in Settings, with live preview; copy built-ins or share coaches as files
- Practice out loud: auto-send on pause, waits if you trail off, hands-free continuous listening
- Transcription latency cut from 5.3s to 0.8s per line
- Experimental auto capture records call audio and mic as separate tracks with echo removal
- Windows installer and portable .exe (no Node.js needed), or host as a website
- Anxiety coaches include safety guardrails: coaching stops if the user feels unsafe, pointing to trusted contacts or crisis lines (988 in the US)
